My 13 inch MacBook screen does not provide enough space to comfortably edit the source and view the PDF of a typical LaTeX document at the same time. Because sometimes I really value seeing both at once, my solution is to reduce the page margins using the geometry package. The following snippet placed in the LaTeX preamble should result in the same double column width (each column 21 picas wide with 1 pica separation) and height as the standard IEEEtran document class with minimal margins.

After a second chance from DARPA and extra effort by team BAM! Wireless, we earned a $375K prize in the DARPA Spectrum Collaboration Challenge.
Team BAM! Wireless earns 5th place at the 2nd preliminary event of the DARPA Spectrum Collaboration Challenge. Once again, good job guys.
Our team, BAM! Wireless, placed tenth and won $750K at the first preliminary round of the DARPA Spectrum Collaboration Challenge (SC2). Congratulations to my friends and teammates Dennis, Tomo, Mai, Manik, and Diyu.
